Hope Arise Staff & Leadership TeamWe desire to be a church community that places value on personal relationships. Allow us, as the staff and leadership of Hope Arise, to introduce ourselves.
I am Pastor Reese Henry, III. Natalie, my wife, and I serve in North Central San Antonio with our two boys, Reese IV and Rowan, and our newborn daughter, Vivian. Before serving as the pastor of Hope Arise United Methodist Church, I served as the youth minister at our mother church, Bulverde United Methodist Church.
Outreach & Missions Director
I am originally from Bulverde and I grew up attending our mother church, Bulverde United Methodist Church, where Reese served as my youth minister. After high school, I attended The University of Texas at Austin and received Bachelor of Art’s degrees in Religious Studies and History. I graduated in December 2012. Then spent eleven months overseas as a missionary in eleven countries across the world through the World Race. After returning to the United States in January 2014, I joined the staff at Hope Arise United Methodist Church where I serve as the Outreach and Missions Director.
Children’s Ministry Team Leader
I was born in San Antonio but moved several times before coming home again in 1985. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Randy, since 1994. We have a daughter, Heather, who is a senior in high school. We attended our mother church, Bulverde United Methodist Church (BUMC), since 2001 and came to Hope Arise in 2011. I served on the children’s ministry team at BUMC, taught Sunday school at Hope Arise for two years and became team leader in June 2013. I was a LVN for nine years before becoming a stay-at-home mom in 2005. I served on Upward Basketball Board at BUMC for five years. In January 2015, I started Parish Christian Educators School through the Rio Texas Methodist Conference and will be commissioned in June 2016 as a Parish Christian Educator.
